Blue Miburo Anime Sets December Premiere for Season Two

The second season of the anime Ao no Miburo finally has a premiere date. The continuation is set to begin streaming on December 20, as reported by Anime News Network.

The first season of the series debuted on October 19, 2024, and wrapped up in March this year, consisting of 24 episodes. Its mix of historical drama and intense swordplay quickly caught the attention of anime fans looking for a more grounded, story-rich samurai epic.

The anime is based on the manga Ao no Miburo, written by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, best known for his earlier work Days. The series has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine under Kodansha since October 2021. The completed first part of the manga spans 14 volumes, while the ongoing second part has already been collected into six volumes, with more on the way.

Studio Maho Film is responsible for adapting the manga into anime. Though the studio is a relatively new player in the industry, it has been steadily growing its reputation. For fans eager to celebrate the show in their everyday setup, collectible items like anime mouse pads featuring striking artwork can be a fun way to bring that excitement to their desk.
