'Rising of the Shield Hero' Unveils Third Trailer for Season Four

The fourth season of the anime series The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari) is currently underway. To coincide with the premiere of the seventh episode, a brand-new trailer was released. According to the trailer’s description, the story now shifts to the land of Kutenro, the homeland of Raphtalia’s parents, opening up new background and narrative opportunities for the characters.

The series has steadily grown since its debut. The first season, produced by Kinema Citrus, aired in 2019 with a solid 25 episodes, quickly attracting international attention for its darker themes compared to many other isekai titles. The second season, created jointly by Kinema Citrus and DR Movie, followed in 2022 with 13 episodes. The third season, once again handled by Kinema Citrus, arrived in 2023 with 12 episodes, maintaining the show’s loyal fan base and continuing to expand on the complex worldbuilding of the franchise.

The current fourth season launched on July 9 and is slated for 12 episodes. With each new season, the anime has delved deeper into themes of resilience, betrayal, and redemption, offering fans plenty to look forward to. For longtime viewers, exploring related collectibles such as anime mouse pads featuring their favorite series can be a fun way to celebrate the show’s ongoing journey.
