'Rent-A-Girlfriend' Renewed for Season Five

The anime adaptation of the popular manga Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) has officially been confirmed for another season. Earlier this year, the series released its fourth season, which was initially planned to be split into two parts separated by a break. However, the production team decided to release the second half as a standalone fifth season instead. Fans can look forward to its premiere in 2026, as reported by Anime News Network.

The original manga, created by Reiji Miyajima, began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine back in July 2017. Over the years, it has grown into one of the publisher’s most recognizable romantic comedies. The series already has 42 collected volumes, with sales surpassing 14 million copies worldwide.
