Early next year, the anime MF Ghost will return to the small screen. The project’s official website announced that the third season of the series will premiere in January 2026.
MF Ghost is based on the manga of the same name created by Shuichi Shigeno, best known for his legendary series Initial D, which defined a whole generation of racing manga and anime. The manga debuted in September 2017 in Weekly Young Magazine and concluded in February 2023, spanning 23 volumes. By last summer, sales had surpassed five million copies, proving that the love for high-octane racing stories remains strong worldwide.
The anime adaptation began in 2023 with the first season, followed by a second in 2024. Each season runs for 12 episodes, with studio Felix Film continuing to handle production. Fans can expect the same level of adrenaline-pumping action and attention to detail that has made the series so popular.
The story unfolds in the 2020s, when autonomous electric vehicles and hybrids dominate the roads, and traditional gasoline-powered sports cars have become relics of the past.
