'My Hero Academia: Vigilantes' Anime Returns Winter 2026

'My Hero Academia: Vigilantes' Anime Returns Winter 2026

The upcoming winter anime season just got even more exciting with the announcement of the second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. The new season is set to premiere in January 2026, as revealed by the official anime website.

This series is based on the manga of the same name. Vigilantes serves as both a spin-off and a prequel to the hugely popular My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi. The spin-off manga ran from 2016 to 2022 in Jump GIGA and Shonen Jump+, collecting a total of 15 volumes. It was created by writer Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrator Betten Court.

The anime adaptation premiered in April with its first season, and to complement the launch, a special one-shot was also released on Shonen Jump+. This approach helped connect existing fans of the My Hero Academia universe with the darker, street-level perspective of Vigilantes.

Animation is being handled by the well-known studio BONES FILM. The first season consisted of 13 episodes, and the second season is expected to expand on the foundation laid out in.

For fans who enjoy bringing their favorite shows into daily life we have My Hero Academia Mouse Pads to celebrate the series while waiting for the new season to air.
