"Blue Lock: Nagi Episode" Manga Series Concludes, Inspires Anime Film Adaptation

After five years of publication, the manga Blue Lock: Episode Nagi has finally concluded. The final chapter was featured in the August issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, which was released on July 9th.

"Episode Nagi" has been serialized in the monthly Kodansha journal since June 9, 2022. The series is a spin-off of the original "Blue Lock", focused on the character Seisiro Nagi. All chapters of the spin-off will be collected into eight volumes, with the last volume being released on August 12th.

In April 2024, a full-length anime based on "Episode Nagi" premiered. The acclaimed studio 8bit worked on the film, having previously released two seasons of the series based on the original "Blue Lock" manga.

The original "Blue Lock" has been published in the weekly magazine, Weekly Shonen, since August 2018 and at the time of writing this has been collected into 34 volumes.

In other manga news, "Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective" has recently ended, and new chapters of the "Black Clover" series are set to be released next month.
