Black Clover Manga Nears Its Epic Finale

Asta’s long adventure is finally coming to an end. The fantasy manga Black Clover will officially wrap up with its next three chapters. According to reports, these last chapters will appear in the spring issue of Jump GIGA, set to hit shelves on May 1. Fans outside Japan will get access even earlier through the MANGA Plus service. The story will conclude with Chapter 392, closing a major chapter in shonen manga history and giving long-time readers a proper farewell.

Black Clover has been running for more than 11 years, starting its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump back in 2015. In 2023, the series moved to the quarterly magazine Jump GIGA, giving creator Yūki Tabata more room to take his time with the final chapters. The series has remained a staple on global platforms like MANGA Plus, where readers can officially follow new releases as soon as they come out.

Yūki Tabata has released 37 volumes so far, with the 38th and final volume scheduled to arrive on August 4. With over 24.5 million copies sold around the world, the series stands as one of the strongest titles of the new shonen generation. Its mix of emotional storytelling, high-energy battles, and rich world-building has helped it earn a lasting place among modern manga classics.

The Black Clover universe has grown well beyond the pages of the manga. It now includes a full anime series, several OVAs, light novels, and a feature-length movie. The anime first aired in October 2017 and wrapped up in March 2021 after 170 episodes. In 2023, the movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King brought fans an original story set in the same world. The show’s animation studio, Studio Pierrot — also known for Naruto and Bleach — produced the anime and is currently working on a continuation expected to release later this year.

Asta is a determined boy who dreams of becoming the greatest mage in the kingdom. The problem is, he was born without any magic at all. Still, he pushes himself through endless training until he stumbles upon a rare artifact: the five-leaf clover grimoire, a mysterious book that grants him the power of anti-magic. Armed with raw determination and sheer effort, Asta sets out to challenge fate and compete for the title of Wizard King.

As Black Clover reaches its conclusion, it leaves behind a strong legacy. Over the years, it has encouraged its readers to keep trying, believe in themselves, and trust that hard work can overcome natural limits. For long-time fans, the ending will be both emotional and rewarding—a fitting tribute to Asta’s journey and to everything that made this story so special.
