Season 2 of anime 'Re:Monster' in Production

One season wasn’t enough for the anime Insatiable Berserk: The One Who Exceeds the Concept of Levels (Boushoku no Berserk: Ore dake Level to Iu Gainen wo Toppa suru). The production committee has officially announced that a second season is now in development. The news came from the show’s official website, though no further details have been shared yet. Updates about the release schedule and returning staff will be revealed later.

The fantasy series, based on the light novel of the same name, first aired in October 2023. Produced by animation studio A.C.G.T, the first season ran for 12 episodes. Despite its short run, the show built a strong following for its darker tone, fast-paced action, and creative use of RPG-style power systems.

For those who haven’t seen it, Fate Graphite is a lowly gatekeeper born with a strange ability that leaves him constantly hungry. Believing it to be a curse, he lives in despair until one day he kills a bandit trying to break into the castle and awakens his true power, Gluttony — one of the Seven Deadly Sins. This ability lets him consume the souls of those he defeats, absorbing their strength and memories. As Fate learns the extent of his power, he pushes beyond the normal limits of leveling and becomes a force no one can stop.

The new season is expected to explore Fate’s inner conflict even further, showing how his growing strength challenges his sense of morality. Fans are looking forward to seeing how the story deepens the world-building and develops the relationships introduced in the first season.

Anyone who enjoys dark fantasy stories filled with revenge, power struggles, and personal growth should keep this one on their radar. The second season looks like it will be a strong follow-up for viewers who want to see just how far Fate can go after breaking through the limits of his world.
