The release of the second season of the anime The Detective Is Already Dead (Tantei wa Mō, Shindeiru.) has been postponed from July to October due to production-related issues. The change of schedule was reported by Anime News Network.
The series adapts the light novel of the same name and first premiered in July 2021 with 12 episodes. The long-awaited continuation arrives five years later, produced once again by studio ENGI with the original creative team and main voice cast returning. Fans can expect the same balance of mystery, action, and emotional drama that made the first season stand out.
