Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle - Akaza Sairai has climbed one spot higher in the list of the highest-grossing films of 2025. According to Box Office Mojo, the anime has already earned $160.1 million, most of it coming from the domestic box office. With this success, Akaza Sairai has surpassed the horror film 28 Years Later, taking the 15th spot among the most profitable movies of the year. The horror film now sits in 16th place with $150.4 million.
Akaza Sairai premiered in Japanese theaters on July 18 and marks the beginning of the highly anticipated Infinity Castle trilogy. This trilogy will adapt the final chapters of Koyoharu Gotouge’s hit manga Demon Slayer, bringing the story of Tanjiro and his companions to its cinematic conclusion. Animation studio ufotable, known for its dazzling visuals and faithful adaptation of the source material, is once again behind the project.
The franchise already holds an impressive record in the anime film industry. Back in 2020, the feature film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train shattered box office expectations. For fans looking to celebrate the series in everyday life, themed merchandise like Demon Slayer mouse pads can add a touch of anime flair to their desk setups.
