'Dr. Stone' Anime to Wrap Up in 2026

The anime Dr. Stone will officially wrap up in 2026. According to an announcement on the show’s website, the final installment of the last season is planned for release that year, marking the end of Senku’s long scientific journey on screen.

The series is produced by TMS Entertainment and is based on the manga created by writer Riichiro Inagaki and illustrator Boichi. The manga ran in the iconic Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from Shueisha and was collected into 26 volumes. Fans were also treated to additional works, such as the spin-off Dr. Stone: 4D Science and Dr. Stone Reboot: Byakuya, which expanded the universe with fresh perspectives.

The anime adaptation began with a 24-episode first season in 2019, which captivated audiences with its mix of survival, science, and adventure. Its second season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, premiered in 2021 with 11 episodes, focusing on the epic conflict between Senku’s Kingdom of Science and Tsukasa’s Empire of Might.
