Animation for the adaptation is handled by the acclaimed studio Bones Film, known for popular titles like *My Hero Academia: Vigilantes*. The protagonist Rudo is voiced by talented actor Aoi Ichikawa, recognized for his roles as Nagara in *Sonny Boy* and Gurimu Igarashi in *Blue Lock*.
The story unfolds in a world built above sprawling slums inhabited by descendants of criminals.
