'Witch Hat Atelier' Anime Delayed to 2026 to Guarantee Top-Tier Quality

The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Atelier of Witch Hat has been delayed. Originally expected much sooner, the series will now premiere in 2026.

According to an official announcement, the delay is to ensure the highest possible quality. The creative team expressed their dedication to bringing out the full charm and visual beauty of the story, emphasizing that staff members are working with passion and great care.

The story follows Coco, a curious young girl from a small village who has always dreamed of becoming a witch. In this world, however, magic is a closely guarded art, accessible only to those born with the knowledge of how to wield it. Ordinary people are forbidden not only from practicing magic but even from witnessing it. One day, a traveling sorcerer named Qifrey arrives in her village, and Coco secretly observes him casting spells. Fascinated and determined to try it herself, she experiments with magic—and tragically turns her mother into stone. To undo her mistake and save her mother, Coco must become an apprentice to Qifrey, beginning her journey into the hidden world of enchantments

While fans wait for the delayed release, many enjoy collecting related merchandise and accessories. If you're looking for a fun way to add some flair to your desk, check out these anime mouse pads with enchanting designs.
