Fans of The Beginning After the End, the hit American webtoon and novel series, have plenty to look forward to this year. Before the anime adaptation returns with its highly anticipated second season in April, the webtoon itself is launching an all-new chapter. According to official reports, publication of season seven will begin on March 12.
Created by TurtleMe and illustrated by Fuyuki23, the webtoon is based on the original light novel of the same name. The anime adaptation is produced by studio A-CAT, though an exact premiere date for season two has not yet been announced. The first season was initially planned as a single two-part release of twelve episodes each but was later split into separate seasons to give more room for development and story pacing.
The story follows Grey, once the most powerful king in history. Despite his unmatched strength, wealth, and fame, he lives an empty, isolated life. After his mysterious death, Grey is reborn into a new world of magic as a powerless infant named Arthur. Surrounded by a loving family and new friends, he begins to experience emotions and moments of happiness he never knew before. But when tragedy strikes during their travels, Arthur is forced to face the darker sides of his destiny.
This marks the beginning of his second life - a life filled with adventure, danger, and self-discovery.
