New Trailer for 'Star Child' Season 3 Reveals Premiere Date and Opening Theme

There’s less than a month left before the highly anticipated return of the anime Oshi no Ko. The third season will premiere early in the new year, continuing the gripping story that has captivated fans worldwide. The official website has released the second trailer, revealing that the new season kicks off on January 14. The preview also teases the fresh opening theme, performed by the Japanese artist Chanmina, adding even more excitement for what’s to come.

Oshi no Ko is based on the manga created by Aka Akasaka (known for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) and Mengo Yokoyari. The original manga ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump from April 2020 to November 2024 and compiled a total of 16 volumes. With over 25 million copies sold, it has cemented its place as one of the most popular modern manga titles. The story’s mix of showbiz drama, mystery, and emotional depth has resonated strongly with readers around the world.

The anime adaptation is produced by the studio Doga Kobo, known for its expressive animation and strong character work. The first season premiered in 2023 with 11 episodes, and the second followed in 2024 with 13 episodes. The series stood out for its polished visuals, compelling characters, and bold exploration of fame and identity within the entertainment industry.

Beyond the main series, Oshi no Ko has inspired a live-action drama and a feature film, expanding the universe and introducing the story to new audiences. With each adaptation, the franchise continues to grow, bridging the gap between anime and mainstream pop culture.

As fans wait for Season 3, expectations are high. The upcoming episodes promise new emotional twists, deeper character development, and a more intense look at the darker side of stardom. For anyone who appreciates character-driven stories about ambition and the cost of fame, Oshi no Ko remains a must-watch.
