'Jujutsu Kaisen' heads to the future with aliens in Gege Akutami’s new manga sequel

The hit series Jujutsu Kaisen has returned to the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in a brand-new form. Beloved creator Gege Akutami is back with a continuation of the story, now under the title Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. While Akutami is in charge of the plot, the artwork is being handled by illustrator Yuji Iwasaki. This announcement was confirmed by Anime News Network.

The story propels readers far into the future, to the year 2086. Humanity faces an unprecedented challenge when extraterrestrial beings arrive on Earth aboard a massive spacecraft. The defense of the world falls into the hands of siblings Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu — powerful sorcerers destined to stand between mankind and the unknown invaders. Their encounter with these alien forces sets the stage for an unpredictable clash of worlds, magic, and cosmic mystery.

The debut chapter, an extended 54-page installment

Fans who are excited for the return of the series can also explore unique collectibles like Jujutsu Kaisen mouse pads featuring striking artwork to bring part of the world into their everyday setup.
