The mystical horror anime Dark Gathering has officially been renewed for a second season. The same creative team behind the first season will return, along with the full original voice cast, ensuring that the eerie atmosphere and emotional depth remain intact.
Keitaro Gentoga is a college freshman who wants nothing more than to avoid ghosts and anything supernatural. Unfortunately for him, he seems to attract spirits wherever he goes. In the past, this strange sensitivity left him with a spiritual injury to his right hand and caused his close friend to suffer as well. Scarred by those experiences, Keitaro withdrew from the world, preferring isolation over risk.
His childhood friend Eiko Hozuki refuses to let him fade away. Thanks to her persistence, Keitaro begins to reconnect with others, slowly rebuilding his confidence and social life. As part of this new chapter, he takes a part-time job as a private tutor. His student happens to be Eiko’s cousin, Yayoi Hozuki - a child prodigy with an IQ of 160 and remarkable psychic abilities similar to Keitaro’s own.
