The fourth season of the hit anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) has been pushed back slightly. Episode five, which was supposed to air on May 1, will now be released a week later, on May 8. According to a news report, the delay was announced without any reason given, leaving fans curious but still looking forward to the next episode.
The anime is adapted from the light novel series written by Fuse. The story was first published online between 2013 and 2016 before being released in print beginning in 2014. The 23rd and latest volume came out in November 2025, bringing to a close one of the most popular series in the fantasy isekai genre.

The story follows Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old office worker who is killed during a robbery. Just before dying, he hears a strange voice offering him another chance at life.
